Want to join the ride?  We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser for our site in Surgères.  As a Purchaser, your responsibilities will include:   <ul><li>Formalizing and engaging purchase contracts. </li><li>Negotiating the terms and conditions of purchases, prices, deadlines, incoterms, general purchasing conditions, quality costs, etc. </li><li>Evaluating and validating the supplier's management system against Wärtsilä's requirements. (VMS)</li><li>Developing technical-commercial consultations, analyzing and comparing offers; cost breakdown(CBA), establishing investment budgets; selecting the partner (DAW).</li><li>Keeping purchasing data up to date in ERP systems like SAP; executing requests for quotes and sales orders through the workflow, identifying and working with the pricing team.</li><li>Concluding agreements regarding the handling of non-conformities and penalties.</li><li>Participating in the strategic review of associated categories with the Wärtsilä group and mobilizing the category manager if necessary.</li><li>Participating in supplier audits/evaluations and validations.</li><li>Ensuring our suppliers' ability to meet our needs and the evolution of our requirements.</li><li>Preventing and implementing the alignment of activity volume trends, detecting obsolescence and some resolution, any potential supplier failures, seeking new alternative sources.</li><li>Analyzing indicators (KPIs) and supplier-related data as well as benchmarking, continuously improving and strengthening the supplier network.
