In this role, you will work as part of a team that consults on a wide variety of mechanical engineering issues including electromechanical, industrial controls, and machine design issues. You may also assist the other engineering practice groups within Exponent on an as-needed basis and support senior staff in project development and marketing.</p><h2>You will be responsible for</h2><ul> <li>Communicating effectively with other engineers, managers, clients, and administrative reports</li> <li>Conducting hands-on failure analyses</li> <li>Planning and executing laboratory tests</li> <li>Performing calculations and engineering analyses</li> <li>Creating written reports and presentations</li> <li>Performing field inspections</li></ul><h2>You will have the following skills and qualifications</h2><ul> <li>  <ul>   <li>Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree with focused thesis/coursework/project experience in electromechanical, controls, engineering mechanics, or machine design issues</li>   <li>Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent.
