We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in water systems, focusing on pump stations, valves, piping design, hydraulics, and dam engineering. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to high-profile projects in the Christchurch area.<ul><li>Leads packages within multidisciplinary three-waters and/or dams engineering projects, applying mechanical engineering judgement and sector experience.</li><li>Develops, validates, and integrates mechanical design inputs using established methodologies, relevant standards, asset owner specifications, and industry best practice.</li><li>Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. </li><li>Conduct hydraulic analyses to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with industry standards.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in mechanical design and project execution.</li><li>Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional results.</li><li>Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision</li></ul>
