This role provides a true leadership opportunity to establish the function, define operating parameters, and grow a team over time to expand impact.This is a dynamic, fast-moving role ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, works cross-functionally, and loves helping customers and partners succeed while shaping how our category-defining energy API platform grows.Location: U.S. Remote Responsibilities<ul><li>Own and deliver revenue growth - build pipeline with high-value ecosystem relationships across DERMS/VPP platforms, aggregators, finance, retailers, and O&amp;M</li><li>Create repeatable go-to-market motions, playbooks, and commercial packaging (pricing, partnerships, channel/referrals)</li><li>Lead executive-level stakeholder management and multi-party negotiations (technical + commercial + regulatory realities)</li><li>Partner closely with Product/Engineering/Customer Success to align commitments, timelines, and customer outcomes</li><li>Build and lead the BD team over time (hiring, coaching, pipeline discipline, forecasting)</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>7–12+ years in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales in energy software</li><li>Proven ability to develop complex, multi-stakeholder deals and build a predictable pipeline</li><li>Comfortable selling technical products (APIs, integrations, data/control reliability) with crisp business framing</li><li>Trusted with C-level stakeholders; can align technical + commercial + program teams.”</li><li>Strong operator: structured thinking, clean execution, excellent written follow-up, accurate forecasting</li><li>High ownership, high intensity, low ego; someone who can set the bar and bring others with them</li><li>Excited by early-stage ambiguity and motivated by building something category-defining</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.</li><li>Passion for accelerating the energy transition and enabling a more connected, flexible, and decarbonized grid.</li></ul>
