The Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the company's financial activities, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial processes, experience in construction accounting, and the ability to drive operational efficiency and optimize financial performance. This is a key position within the company and will require strategic thinking, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. This role will be based in Lexington, Kentucky or Cincinnati, Ohio.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage and oversee all accounting and financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.</li><li>Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive operational efficiency.</li><li>Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.</li><li>Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.</li><li>Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic financial plans that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.</li><li>Manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, lenders, and investors.</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance and inform business decisions.</li></ul>RequirementsRequirements:<ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
