Employees are expected to uphold the values and principles of our cultural framework in performance of their job duties.Role OverviewThis role is within the Close &amp; Reporting team and will be responsible for the delivery of Management and Financial accounts for our global entities. The role will have a primary focus on close processes, financial control and reporting including the support in maintaining a month end close timetable and taking responsibility for tasks within the process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews as part of the control framework and providing a variety of management reporting. As the business changes and adapts to a new target operating model the role will involve global oversight with a requirement to provide assurance on the overall revenue process.Role Responsibilities<ul><li>Ensure Legal Entities are closed in line with TPICAP accounting close deadlines. Accounts prepared in accordance with IFRS, internal guidelines and group accounting policies.</li><li>Take ownership for control across all close processes they are responsible for.</li><li>Preparing and maintaining monthly journal entries in the GL including</li><li>Intercompany recharges,</li><li>Prepayments and accruals</li><li>Understanding open trade positions to create the settlement data journal</li><li>Preparation of revenues for Flash reporting at entity/desk level. Ensure all revenues are mapped correctly for upload to the reporting system.</li><li>Responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate management information for key stakeholders.</li><li>Preparation and review of Balance Sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Review and resolution of intercompany mismatches and ensure balances are supported by underlying agreements.</li><li>Production of variance analysis and analytical reviews for the P&amp;L and Balance Sheet.</li><li>Analysis and understanding of front office costs by business and entity.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting and processes in a controlled environment.</li><li>Build a rapport with counterparts globally to agree and settle intercompany balances and foster the sharing of best practice.</li><li>Ensure an effective risk and control framework is embedded to support our processes.</li><li>Year-end reporting including the preparation of year-end files for relevant entities, Business/Analytical reviews and assisting with Audit queries.</li><li>Providing Financial data for tax reporting and filings. Work closely with Group Tax and outsourced providers on our Regional tax filings.</li><li>Build and maintain professional relationships with the Finance Team and other key stakeholders. There should be clear communication and adoption of Group Accounting Policies and ensure the Expenditure Control Framework is adhered to at all times.</li><li>From time to time, you will be asked to undertake any other reasonable duties as required within this role.</li></ul>Risk ResponsibilitiesEnsure that you understand the risks and controls on your department; what could go wrong, what controls you have to prevent/detect or contain these.All staff have defined risk management responsibilities. The Group imposes additional responsibilities on line-managers and senior managers. It is critical that all staff discharge their risk management responsibilities when undertaking their role. Specific responsibilities are incorporated into employee objectives, and your performance against these objectives will be assessed as part of the firm’s performance management process.
