Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Job Description:*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assignedPosition Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>Oversee all accounting related functions for assigned projects.</li><li>Assist project teams with accounting-related questions or needs.</li><li>Prepare documentation and assist in interim and year end external audits.</li><li>Understand and review owner contract for accounting related tasks &amp; responsibilities.</li><li>Review and track Preliminary notices.</li><li>Possess working knowledge of preparing AIA billings and assembling billing with supporting documentation.</li><li>Collect and review lien waivers for subcontractors and sub tiers.</li><li>Ensure subcontractor compliance with document requirements.</li><li>Process subcontractor payments in a timely manner.</li><li>Meet month end and quarterly deadlines.</li><li>Perform cost coding and review the accuracy of vendor and subcontractor invoices.</li><li>Complete assigned month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries and respective account reconciliations.</li><li>Process job cost and sales tax accruals.</li><li>Assist with applied and unapplied payments for receivables.</li><li>Adhere to all financial deadlines, including month-end and quarterly reporting.</li><li>Complete other responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul>Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience</li><li>Minimum 3 years of construction accounting experience.</li><li>Prior public accounting experience supporting external audit processes is strongly preferred</li><li>CPA, CMA or CCIFP preferred</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting procedures and principles</li><li>Experience with online integrated accounting systems</li><li>Ability to organize work and handle multiple projects</li><li>Ability to instruct and review the work of team members and provide assistance</li><li>Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)</li><li>Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills</li><li>Strong analytical skills</li><li>Effective written and verbal English communication skills, including professional telephone manner</li><li>Candidates located in Pacific or Central time zones are preferred to support late-day collaboration and ensure alignment with project team schedules.</li></ul>SOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
