<div><h2>About the role</h2><p>Muon seeks a Lead Spacecraft Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated technician with leadership capabilities who will play a hands-on role in testing our PCBAs and spacecraft to prepare flight hardware as part of building the satellites. In this role, you will be responsible for delegating tasks from production planning to test technicians while also performing hands-on testing work yourself.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Lead &amp; Coordinate: Review production planning schedules and delegate test tasks to test technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and on-time delivery of test milestones.</li><li>Team Management: Assign work, track progress, and provide technical guidance to test technicians to ensure quality and consistency across all test operations.</li><li>Performs operational tests on a wide variety of subassemblies and systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, test specifications and test procedures.</li><li>Works with engineering instructions and standard test procedures to operationally test developmental products as required.</li><li>Sets up and operates in accordance with prescribed procedures using standard test equipment such as pulse generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc.</li><li>Interprets test data and checks results against specifications and test procedures and data sheets to determine proper functioning and quality of product.</li><li>Operate Vacuum Chambers: Safely setup, operate and monitor thermal vacuum chambers, ensuring test environments meet mission requirements for pressure, cleanliness, and thermal stability.</li><li>Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose and resolve problems with test hardware, instrumentation, and vacuum chambers in real time during test operations.</li><li>Assembly &amp; Fabrication: Assemble mechanical and electrical test setups from engineering drawings and schematics.</li><li>Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with test engineers and AIT technicians to ensure smooth and safe test operations.</li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Experience with Linux command line tools</li><li>Experience with running Python based scripts and deciphering common errors</li><li>Experience working with engineers in development and production environments</li><li>Previous experience leading or mentoring technicians in a production or test environment</li><li>Demonstrated ability to coordinate workload and prioritize tasks across multiple team members</li><li>Able to work independently and problem solve efficiently with minimal supervision</li><li>Willingness to provide constructive feedback to the engineering and management teams to improve tooling designs, processes and procedures</li><li>Able to read and interpret wiring schematics and assembly drawings</li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear direction to team members</li><li>Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week</li></ul><h2>Nice-to-have Skills</h2><ul><li>Experience with CAD such as Solidworks or similar software</li><li>Experience with MES and ERP systems</li><li>Experience working in a Class 10k (ISO 7) cleanroom</li><li>Able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted</li><li>A&amp;P Certified</li></ul><h2><strong>Salary</strong></h2><p><strong>This role is non-exempt.</strong> The salary range for this role is $145,000 - $163,000 plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
