This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing journal entries, performing detailed account reconciliations, supporting financial reporting, and helping improve accounting processes as the company grows.</p><p>The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in US GAAP, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes and systems.</p><h2><span>Responsibilities:</span><span> </span></h2><p><strong>Month-End Close &amp; Financial Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare routine and journal entries across key areas such as accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, payroll, and revenue transactions</li><li>Perform timely and accurate account reconciliations, including use of BlackLine</li><li>Investigate and resolve reconciling items and unusual variances</li><li>Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting</li><li>Assist with preparation of internal financial reports and schedules</li><li>Perform flux and variance analyses to explain period-over-period changes in financial results</li><li>Ensure assigned areas are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP and company accounting policies</li></ul><p><strong>Process Improvement and Cross-Functional Support</strong></p><ul><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reconciliations, and reporting workflows</li><li>Support implementation and enhancement of new accounting tools and systems</li><li>Partner with AP, Payroll, Cost Accounting, FP&amp;A, and Operations to research issues and ensure accurate financial data</li><li>Assist in maintaining allocation methodologies and recurring accounting processes</li></ul><p><strong>Internal Controls and Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Follow established internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data</li><li>Prepare documentation to support internal and external audit requests</li><li>Assist in preparing audit schedules and PBC (Prepared by Client) support</li><li>Help ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies</li></ul><h2><span>Basic Qualifications:</span></h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field</li><li>Big 4 public accounting experience</li><li>5 years of progressive accounting experience, including public or public-company-ready experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement structure.</li><li>Proficiency in Oracle Fusion is a plus.</li><li>Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation, reconciliations).</li></ul><h2><span>Preferred Skills and Experience:</span></h2><ul><li>CPA license (active or inactive).</li><li>Experience in a manufacturing, government contracting, or multi-entity environment.</li><li>Prior team leadership, supervisory experience, or strong mentoring capabilities.</li><li>Experience improving or designing accounting processes and control environments.</li></ul><h2>Additional Requirements:</h2><p>Regular travel is not anticipated for this role; however, occasional trips could be necessary to support customer meetings, attend training events and/or meet with government regulators.</p><p> </p><p><strong>ITAR REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p><ul><li>To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
