Together, we’ve been learning, developing, building, testing, and preparing for this challenge our entire lives.<h2>Role Overview</h2>We are hiring a senior, hands-on finance leader to own and build Odys Aviation’s finance function in advance of a Series B. This role is deeply execution-oriented and will be responsible for day-to-day finance operations, FP&amp;A, and financial modeling, while laying the foundation for a scaled finance organization post-Series B.This is not a purely strategic role. We are looking for a builder and operator who is comfortable working in the details today and scaling systems, processes, and team over time.<h2>Core Responsibilities</h2><ul style=""><li>Financial Planning &amp; Analysis (FP&amp;A)<ul style=""><li>Own and maintain the company’s integrated financial model (operating, cash flow, and scenario models)</li><li>Update models regularly based on actuals, changing program timelines, and production realities</li><li>Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning (base / downside / upside cases)</li><li>Track burn, runway, and capital needs in real time and surface risks early</li><li>Partner with leadership to translate operational plans (production ramps, hiring, programs) into financial implications</li></ul></li><li>Manufacturing &amp; Production Finance<ul style=""><li>Build and maintain unit economics models tied to production volume, BOMs, labor, and supply chain assumptions</li><li>Support production planning, cost tracking, and margin analysis as the company scales manufacturing</li><li>Track program-level costs across R&amp;D, flight test, and customer programs</li></ul></li><li>Day-to-Day Finance Operations<ul style=""><li>Own core finance operations including:<ul style=""><li>Payment execution and vendor management</li><li>AP/AR oversight and cash management</li><li>Monthly close coordination with external accounting partners</li></ul></li><li>Ensure financial records are accurate, current, and decision-ready</li><li>Improve finance workflows, controls, and internal reporting as the company scales</li><li>Serve as the internal point person for auditors, tax advisors, and external accounting firms</li></ul></li><li>Fundraising &amp; Board Support<ul style=""><li>Support Series B and future fundraising efforts through:<ul style=""><li>Model updates and scenario analysis</li><li>Data room preparation</li><li>Investor and diligence financial requests</li></ul></li><li>Prepare board-level financial materials, dashboards, and reporting</li><li>Partner with the Strategy team on capital structure planning and long-range financial strategy</li></ul></li><li>Building the Finance Function<ul style=""><li>Design and implement scalable finance systems, tools, and processes</li><li>Hire and manage additional finance team members over time (post-Series B)</li></ul></li></ul><h2>Experience</h2>Required Experience:<ul style=""><li>8-12+ years of experience in finance roles with increasing responsibility</li><li>Direct experience in manufacturing, production, hardware, aerospace, automotive, or industrial companies</li><li>Strong hands-on FP&amp;A and financial modeling background</li><li>Experience operating in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments (startup or high-growth company)</li><li>Comfortable owning both strategic analysis and tactical execution</li><li>Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain</li></ul>Preferred Experience<ul style=""><li>Experience supporting venture-backed companies pre- and post-Series B</li><li>Exposure to scaling production environments and cost-driven businesses</li><li>Experience implementing finance systems (ERP, accounting tools, reporting infrastructure)</li><li>Prior experience managing diligence processes</li></ul>
