This role will be the lead for International Tax matters globally, and will have day-to-day oversight of the APAC region, including compliance and reporting. This role will work closely across the tax and finance team and the business to provide broad support on cross-border initiatives and structuring. This role will have exposure to other advisory areas including operational taxes and transfer pricing.  The role will suit a candidate with a varied International Tax and advisory background who is looking to apply technical experience in the practical context of a global financial services business. Financial services experience is preferred, but not essential.   Role Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversight of tax compliance and reporting for APAC, working closely with Finance and our global outsourced service provider.</li><li>Tax lead in the group’s Change Management Framework, co-ordinating with other members of Group Tax and Finance, to ensure the business is provided with timely advice on cross-border initiatives.</li><li>Provide tax support for international structuring and legal entity rationalisation initiatives.</li><li>Support for Pillar 2 (global minimum tax), with responsibility for ensuring compliance within APAC.</li><li>Support the Indirect Tax lead on operational tax matters.</li><li>Work closely with other colleagues in the Finance and Operations teams to enable them to efficiently support the work of the Tax team.</li><li>Participate in initiatives to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function, and proactive identification and implementation of process improvements. </li></ul> Experience / CompetencesEssential<ul><li>6+ years of International Tax advisory experience, including analysis of technical matters such as PE risk and withholding tax matters, in the context of large groups</li><li>Compliance and reporting experience in an international context</li><li>Working knowledge of Pillar 2 requirements</li><li>Tax accounting skills, including knowledge of IFRS.</li><li>ACA or ACCA qualified. CTA qualification also beneficial.</li><li>Strong organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to balance multiple assignments and successfully manage work plans and deadlines. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to handle on-going change.</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>European or other language skills.</li><li>Regulatory or Financial services experience.</li></ul>Band &amp; level: Manager, 6#LI-MID #LI-HybridNot The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
