We take a long-term outlook on the ownership, operation and growth of our company which is driven by the needs of our stakeholders.[ma1.1] Based in Portugal and reporting to the HSQE Development &amp; Construction Manager, the HSE Project Coordinator will be responsible for preparation and construction phase of NADARA’s development pipeline of solar and wind projects. The HSE Project Coordinator will work closely with the HSQE, Engineering, Development and Execution Teams, consultants and contractors, ensuring that the projects are completed safely, on time, and with minimal impact on the environment.<h2>Job Description:</h2>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Coordinate the business activities of all involved entities as required by Law no. 102/2009 and Decree Law n.º 273/2003.</li><li>Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations;</li><li>Develop and implement a Health &amp; Safety and Environmental Plans for projects and procedures in Portugal;</li><li>Conduct site inspections and audits;</li><li>Monitor project progress and report its status to management;</li><li>Develop and ensure the site’s risk assessment and maintain compliance with control measures throughout the construction phase;</li><li>Implement action plans concerning preventive and corrective activities at solar and wind farms;</li><li>Implement and coordinate emergency procedures;</li><li>Provide guidance to colleagues and contractors as required, e.g. guidance on method statements, safe systems of work, updated legislation etc.,</li><li>Define HSE training plans at a local level;</li><li>Provide training to workers on safety and environmental practices;</li><li>Manage, monitor and analyse HSE performance data;</li><li>Respond to and investigate accidents and incidents as required, ensuring clear investigations with identification of areas for improvement;</li><li>Evaluate incident, observation, and other HSE data to identify trends, create, and implement Nadara specific HSE programs and processes to drive improvements.</li><li>Support on the identification of hazards, evaluation and control of professional and environmental risks;</li><li>Participate in the design of initiatives to promote environmental and safety awareness internally and externally; </li></ul>Review and validate HSE requirements in contracts during development phase.Relevant Experience &amp; Competencies &amp; Behaviours<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience as HSE Project Coordinator in renewable energy sector, especially solar and wind power projects;</li><li>Experience in developing and implementing safety and environmental procedures;</li><li>Experience in conducting site inspections and audits;</li><li>Experience working with IS0 14001, ISO45001 and IS0 9001 management systems</li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills;</li><li>Solid knowledge of applicable Portuguese HSE legislation, and technical guidance for high-risk activities</li><li>Excellent communication skills - written and verbal;</li><li>Hands-on proactivity;</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team;</li><li>Results and solution focussed;</li><li>Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines;</li><li>Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside Nadara (e.g. Suppliers and regulatory agencies).</li></ul>Skills &amp; Knowledge<ul><li>Knowledge of construction and project management principles;</li><li>Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, specifically solar and wind power;</li><li>Strong working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation;</li><li>Dynamic, proactive, and well organised.</li></ul><ul><li>Good knowledge of Office 365 collaboration tools;</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge in SharePoint;</li><li>Knowledge in HSQE specific software is desirable;</li></ul>Education &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Degree in Engineering, preferably Environmental Engineering;</li><li>Occupational Health &amp; Safety Diploma (Ms, Post-Graduation or other recognised certification)</li><li>Fluent in English and Portuguese.
