Our team looks for data-driven and fact-based mindsets, engaging and collaborative behaviors, and personal growth-focused professionals.   We are looking for an Associate Project Engineer to join the Preconstruction Team within the Engineering, Procurement &amp; Construction (EPC) department. This qualified individual would work under the guidance of a Preconstruction Manager to help evaluate the technical feasibility of project opportunities, advancing projects through the development process, and into execution.   Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Assess energy storage technologies and site layout options to ensure alignment with technical requirements and long-term performance metrics </li><li>Support project design to maximize project value while minimizing construction and operational risks </li><li>Support analysis and present project technical risks and determination of de-risking solutions </li><li>Develop project capital and operational cost estimates and milestone schedules to be used in project financial valuation models </li><li>Support offtake, equipment procurement, as well as engineering and construction contracting activities to move projects towards NTP </li></ul> Skills &amp; Qualifications  <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline required </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in technical roles or fields </li><li>Experience in Power, Energy, Renewables, or BESS with familiarity of industry-specific terminology strongly preferred </li><li>Knowledge of energy storage value proposition and/or technical fundamentals of energy storage projects </li><li>Basic experience with AutoCAD and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel </li><li>Experience reviewing engineering drawings and specifications </li><li>Experience supporting negotiations of technical elements of equipment supply, engineering, and construction agreements </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment with both technical and non-technical team members who are geographically dispersed </li><li>Ability to evaluate risk and prioritize actions effectively under pressure or when faced with ambiguity </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative with a bias for action </li><li>Persuasive, clear, and concise writing and presentation skills </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel domestically approximately 10-20% of the time. </li></ul> Compensation, Location, and BenefitsHighly competitive total compensation from one of North America’s leading energy storage developers, owners and operators. Flexible, work from home or hybrid work from Plus Power’s offices in San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, New York, Palm Beach and Birmingham.  The expected salary range* for this position begins at $95,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic labor market, and other factors consistent with applicable law.
