<h2>Overview</h2>Sign on Bonus:$1,500 Blade Experience (II or III) + GWO additional $1,000 for a total of $2,500Wind Composite Technician – Level 3 (Travel) Travel Position | Utility-Scale Wind Projects About the Role Sky Climber Renewables is seeking experienced Level 3 Wind Composite Blade Repair Technicians to support complex blade inspection, repair, and maintenance scopes across utility-scale wind projects. This role is built for technicians with advanced composite expertise who take pride in craftsmanship, lead crews in the field, and set the standard for safety, quality, and execution.  This is a 100% travel position supporting blade repair campaigns across multiple turbine platforms. Level 3 Composite Technicians serve as technical leaders and on-site supervisors, playing a critical role in planning work, mentoring teams, and coordinating directly with customers. What You’ll Do <ul> <li>Perform intermediate and advanced wind turbine blade inspection, repair, and maintenance activities, including leading-edge, trailing-edge, shell, tip, and lightning protection system (LPS) repairs </li></ul><ul> <li>Safely operate and maintain a wide range of tools and equipment, including power tools, grinders, vacuum systems, calibration tools, hydraulic tools, and electrical testing instruments </li></ul><ul> <li>Develop detailed task plans and contribute to work procedures related to composite inspection and repair activities </li></ul><ul> <li>Lead by example on safety, identifying hazards, implementing risk mitigation measures, and reinforcing a no-compromise safety culture </li></ul><ul> <li>Perform and support quality control activities, including audits and verification of composite repairs performed by less experienced technicians </li></ul><ul> <li>Serve as service supervisor for composite crews, including oversight of one or more teams at a single site </li></ul><ul> <li>Mentor and develop junior composite technicians, reinforcing best practices and execution standards </li></ul><ul> <li>Interface directly with customers, supporting planning, coordination, and execution of composite service schedules </li></ul><ul> <li>Quickly assimilate new information and communicate clearly and professionally in the field </li></ul><ul> <li>Complete rescue operations, technical reports, and administrative documentation accurately and efficiently </li></ul>What Sets This Role Apart <ul> <li>Technical leadership role with real authority in the field </li></ul><ul> <li>Exposure to advanced composite repair scopes across multiple turbine platforms </li></ul><ul> <li>Structured planning and execution, not improvised repair work </li></ul><ul> <li>Opportunity to influence procedures, quality standards, and crew development </li></ul><ul> <li>Long-term growth potential as SCR’s composite services continue to scale </li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent, plus post-secondary education in composite applications such as wind school, trade school, or related technical training, OR a minimum of three (3) years of wind industry experience focused on composite inspection and repair </li></ul><ul> <li>Demonstrated supervisory-level working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including confined space and energy isolation, specific to composite operations </li></ul><ul> <li>Proven ability to complete detailed blade inspections and clearly report findings </li></ul><ul> <li>Proficiency with intermediate and advanced composite repair techniques, including matrix systems such as epoxies and adhesives, reinforcement and core materials, layup schedules, material lists, and part-building processes </li></ul><ul> <li>Experience with lighting systems and intermediate to advanced blade repairs, including leading-edge, trailing-edge, shell, tip, and lightning protection system repairs </li></ul><ul> <li>Strong attention to detail, execution excellence, and professional customer interaction skills </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to collaborate effectively across crews and organizational levels </li></ul><ul> <li>Basic computer skills and familiarity with web-based systems and documentation tools </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English </li></ul>Physical &amp; Travel Requirements <ul> <li>Ability to travel 100% and work overtime, including variable schedules based on project demands </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to climb ladders and stairs 60–125 meters </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periods </li></ul><ul> <li>Weight restriction of 260 lbs, required to ensure safe use of weight-rated equipment </li></ul>Employment Conditions <ul> <li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a passport </li></ul><ul> <li>Must pass background check and drug screening </li></ul><ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older </li></ul><ul> <li>This is a Safety Sensitive position </li></ul>About Sky Climber Renewables Sky Climber Renewables (SCR) provides specialized field services to the utility-scale wind industry across North America.
