Engineering Technologist III provide technical expertise to solve more complex problems and leadership skills to provide oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise, with limited supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with a high degree of independence.Responsibilities <ul><li>Work within a team environment to accomplish a common goal</li><li>Applies technical expertise in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise</li><li>Independently prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches</li><li>Communicates with customers both internal and external to ensure satisfaction</li><li>Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities</li><li>Applies beginner level knowledge in preparing thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches</li><li>Conducts engineering and related studies and performs design work for field construction</li><li>Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance</li><li>Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities</li><li>Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Maintains accurate records and files</li><li>Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally</li></ul> Required/Basic Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND two (2) + years minimum of experience , OR</li><li>Associate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND four (4) + years minimum of experience, OR</li><li>In lieu of above degrees and experience listed above, high school diploma/GED AND six (6) + years minimum of equivalent experience</li></ul>Specific Requirements<ul><li>Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills.</li></ul> Desired Qualifications<ul><li>In addition to desired degree, 2 years related work experience</li><li>Experience in the utility industry</li><li>Understanding of basic principles of project management</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills</li><li>Valid driver's license</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
