Be on the team that's changing the world.What we’re looking for: Nexamp is looking to hire a Senior Construction Superintendent (SCS). This role is a critical leadership position empowered to make independent decisions that directly impact the safety, performance, and operational success of a portfolio of solar construction projects. The SCS serves as a critical decision-maker in matters of jobsite compliance, team deployment, subcontractor performance, and adherence to construction standards and policies. In this role, you will support solar projects in the Springfield, IL region. You will report to the Regional Construction Manager. What you’ll do:  <ul><li>Directly supervise 3–12 contingent Construction Superintendents (CS) across active solar project sites, in coordination with agency partners. Assign site leadership roles, monitor CS performance, and provide coaching and feedback. </li><li>Exercise discretion in identifying and responding to safety, quality, and compliance issues. Empowered to stop work, redirect resources, or mandate changes without prior approval. </li><li>Evaluate the performance of subcontractors in the field and provide recommendations that directly inform contract renewal, termination, or future engagement decisions. These evaluations materially affect vendor relationships and project outcomes. </li><li>Interpret and enforce company policies and OSHA, SWPPP, and site-specific standards in dynamic field conditions. </li><li>Lead the onboarding and ongoing training of site-level superintendents and field personnel. </li><li>Work with the Regional Construction Manager on staffing strategy, including hiring, reassignment, and termination decisions for contingent CS roles. </li><li>Monitor project progress and risks; recommend changes to staffing, scheduling, or scope to meet objectives. </li><li>Hold final responsibility for review and close out compliance documentation, QA/QC reports, and inspection logs within Procore or other systems of record. </li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert on solar construction methods, compliance, and site logistics. </li><li>Advise senior leadership on operational performance, training standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Represent company interests with subcontractors, vendors, and on-site stakeholders.</li><li>Participate in and significantly influence staffing decisions, including hiring, deployment, and performance feedback.</li></ul>What you’ll bring: <ul><li>3+ years of construction management experience, preferably in the solar industry, with a successful track record in project management.</li><li>Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, and various other construction management tools </li><li>Knowledge of OSHA safety standards; OSHA 10 is a minimum requirement </li><li>Maintains professional licenses in trade (i.e., CSL, NABCEP PV, etc.) </li><li>Procore experience is a plus </li><li>Understanding of medium voltage systems and equipment is a plus </li><li>Willingness to travel </li><li>Valid and current Driver’s License </li><li>Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.   </li><li>Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans). Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in the Company’s stock option plan.
