Electrical EngineerSpark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Electrical Engineer to join our Hamilton team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing and stamping electrical engineering packages for construction projects in the utilities, renewables, large commercial and industrial sectors. This is a very hands-on role, working directly with clients, our sales team, and managers to answer technical questions and create proposed solutions. Here’s what we’re looking for:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering </li><li>Minimum 8 years of direct Electrical design and engineering experience, Oil and gas and industrial facilities experience is preferred. </li><li>P.Eng. designation </li><li>Minimum 8 years of experience in Renewable Oil and gas, Industrial, and Commercial facilities. </li><li>Working experience designing, developing, and leading different phases of Engineering Projects; from early stages up to Detailed Engineering. </li><li>Working experience developing and leading Construction Work Packages. </li><li>Working experience developing and leading Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations. </li><li>Working experience developing Electrical Area Classification studies, including thorough understanding of CEC / OESC </li><li>Proficient in various electrical calculations (i.e. Voltage Drop, Cable Sizing/Ampacities, Basic Short Circuit Calcs, Grounding Design, Equipment Sizing Ratings, Equipment Specification) </li><li>Proficient in various electrical software (i.e. CYMCAP, CYMGrd, ETAP or equivalent) </li><li>Working experience with Drawing Mark-ups </li><li>Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.). </li><li>Experience in performing power system studies such as short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, motor starting, harmonics, transients, and grounding is considered an asset. </li></ul>Who is Spark Power?Spark Power is the leading independent provider of end-to-end electrical services and operations and maintenance services to the industrial, utility, and renewable asset markets in North America.
