With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.</p><h2>Overview</h2><p>Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, self motivated, detail-oriented shop inventory manager for the Composite Rapid Development team. This role plays a critical part in enabling rapid prototyping, testing, and development activities by ensuring materials, tools, and consumables are always available, inventoried, organized, and maintained. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced R&amp;D shop environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to organization, and operational excellence.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Implement, manage and maintain material, consumable, tool, and equipment inventory on a daily basis for CRD shop operations with up to date accurate inventory tracking.  </li> <li>Order consumables, materials, tools, equipment at lowest cost, manage supplier relationships, inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. </li> <li>Organize storage areas, manage stock rotation, and analyze turnover </li> <li>Generate data from inventory tracking to use in forecasting inventory needs based on shop size and project.</li> <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and storage environment</li> <li>Comply with all safety, quality, and operational policies</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>Previous experience with inventory management; retail, warehouse, and or manufacturing</li> <li>HS Diploma or GED Equivalent </li> <li>Experience with inventory management software, Microsoft Office</li> <li>Ability to analyze data to optimize stock levels and identify discrepancies </li> <li>Strong organizational and logistics skills to manage stockroom layout and movement</li> <li>Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers, technicians, and management</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shop environment</li> <li>Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred or ability to obtain)</li> <li>Valid driver’s license with the ability to transport materials between facilities</li> <li>Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs aided or unaided throughout the day</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Experience supporting R&amp;D, aerospace, aviation, or advanced manufacturing work environments</li> <li>Composite material and consumable knowledge</li> <li>Abrasives, cutting, grinding, painting, drilling, fastening, bonding knowledge pertaining to hardware and consumables </li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>The target base pay for this position is $97,400 - $159,000/yr.
