The RoleSixth Street has an immediate opening for a bright, hard-working individual to join our team as a Fund Accounting Analyst or Senior Analyst to support several of our investment funds in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment. This person will be involved in several facets of the funds’ accounting, financial reporting, cash management, investor reporting, and fund performance/analysis deliverables.Core Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage all accounting responsibilities within the monthly, quarterly, annual closing cycles</li><li>Assist in oversight of the Funds’ Administrator</li><li>Manage investor reporting and requests including capital calls, distributions, and reporting</li><li>Assist with quarterly valuation process</li><li>Assist fundraising team in preparing fund marketing documents</li><li>Liaison with investment professionals on structuring, cash movements and investment performance</li><li>Assist with complex waterfall and management fee calculations</li><li>Manage the fund audit process and research questions from auditors</li><li>Assist with various compliance reports (e.g., credit facility, limited partnership agreement, ect. )</li><li>Assist with fund expense reporting and analysis</li><li>Manage and perform special projects and analysis for firm leadership</li><li>Identify and help solve for critical accounting and reporting issues</li></ul>What We Value<ul><li>Strong written and oral communication skills</li><li>Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices</li><li>Detail-oriented, responsible and proactive</li><li>Deadline-oriented to meet time-sensitive regulatory and contractual requirements</li><li>Adept at problem solving</li><li>Candidate must be self-motivated and willing to work in a team environment</li><li>Candidate must have attention to detail and be focused on multiple demands and deliverables</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>3 - 5 years accounting experience in a combination of public accounting (either audit or tax), fund admin, or another private equity or investment management firm</li><li>Professional certification (CPA or equivalent) strongly preferred</li><li>Experience with alternative investments, private equity and partnership accounting, fund administration, and Advent Geneva are a plus</li><li>Strong accounting and excel skills</li><li>Experience with credit and structured products investments (Bank Debt, HY Bonds, CLOs)</li></ul> About Sixth StreetFounded in 2009, Sixth Street is a leading global investment firm dedicated to developing themes and offering solutions to companies across all stages of growth.
