<div><div>Job Title Senior GIS Specialist </div><div>Location Glasgow or London </div><div>Salary from £57,600, up to 15% bonus and health cover </div><div>Flexible Working Pattern </div><div> </div><div>Help us create a better future, quicker </div><div>A Senior GIS Specialist is a key role within the Offshore renewable business, they provide bespoke geospatial services to large-scale offshore wind projects in the UK, Europe and overseas. This role is specifically to support in the provision of GIS services to Scottish Power Renewable’s offshore wind operations and maintenance projects. </div><div>The individual will be working as part of a global business with projects in many countries across Europe and the rest of the world. The position may require travel to various locations in the UK and overseas and the individual should be capable of coordinating with teams working at different project locations. </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>What you’ll be doing  Reporting to the Geospatial and information management lead, the key responsibilities for a Senior  GIS Specialist include:  · The provision of GIS drafting/cartographic services including web GIS applications and dashboards for the purpose of supporting offshore windfarms in Operations and Maintenance.· The provision of GIS analyses and data processing services to support the operations and Maintenance stage of offshore wind projects.· The maintenance and updates of GIS databases including enterprise GIS databases with project data deliverables and third-party data. · The provision of GIS analyses and data processing services to support the operations and Maintenance stage of offshore wind projects. . · The creation and maintenance of project geospatial data and metadata. · The development of novel methodologies for the advancement of geospatial data analysis for project use and completion of appropriate supporting documentation. · Development of tools for a wide technical and non-technical user-base that enhance productivity. · The provision of guidance, advice, feedback, and support to junior members of staff through mentorship. <div>What you’ll bring </div><div>The requisite skillset and knowledge, and requirements for a Senior GIS Specialist include: </div><div>· Experience with using the ESRI enterprise server deployment, including publishing of feature and raster image services. </div><div>· The Capacity to work independently to provide and technical solutions to engineering challenges using GIS. </div><div>· Good digital cartographic and map production skills, and experience of quality assuring contractor and internal drawings. </div><div>· Ability to work in a team and in a client office environment </div><div>· Good written, presentational, and customer-facing skills regarding GIS and Engineering </div><div>· Experience working with Spatial Analysis for Hydrology, Bathymetric surveys, Geomorphology and earthmoving estimations. </div><div>· Experience working with SSDM (Seabed Survey Data Model) and offshore geophysical survey deliverables. </div><div>· Demonstrable experience and proficiency in the use of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS desktop.</div></div><div> </div><div>What’s in it for you </div><div>As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
