This role reports into our Senior Manager of Anode Engineering. As part of our Anode Engineering team, you will design, mechanistically understand, test, and create specifications for Form Energy’s breakthrough iron electrode in partnership with our Manufacturing, Test Execution, and Cell Design teams. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission! <h3>What you'll do:</h3><ul style=""><li>Prioritize safety as you carry out the entire electrochemical testing and battery operation process, ranging from the design phase, to implementation, and finally to post-test investigation.</li><li>Design, execute, and interpret anode electrochemical tests in large- and lab-scale test vehicles in collaboration with test execution team</li><li>Own, perform, and thoroughly document Root Cause Analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and drive corrective actions.</li><li>Define electrode product specifications and inspection methods to ensure product quality</li><li>Interpret pre/post-test electrode physical characterization in collaboration with our internal material experts and external vendors</li><li>Mentor, guide, and support team members with your expertise and practical experience.</li></ul><h3>What you'll bring:</h3><ul style=""><li>Bachelor or Master’s degree in chemistry, materials engineering or related field with 7+ years industry experience in testing and evaluating electrochemical systems OR PhD and 2+ years of industry experience</li><li>Expertise with failure prediction and investigation methods, such as Root Cause Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis</li><li>Hands-on practical experience with electrochemical systems and electrochemical device data interpretation, particularly in deployed or market-ready products.</li><li>Statistical experimental design and data evaluation skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills, including working with teams in different locations on shared objectives.</li><li>Ability to travel up to 25% to other Form Energy sites and suppliers</li></ul>#LI-Onsite#LI-LN1Humanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy’s culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that.
