By prioritizing American manufacturing and domestic energy production, the company invests in U.S. jobs, strengthens local economies, and advances the country’s energy independence.<hr> </div>The PositionArevon is recruiting for the position of SCADA Supervisor, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in renewable energy, one of the most important industries for the 21st century.  The SCADA Supervisor will lead the team in supporting the diverse array of SCADA systems used by Arevon’s operating fleet of photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.  Arevon’s SCADA team also supports the development, design, construction, and commissioning of new projects which are joining Arevon’s existing fleet of standalone PV, standalone BESS, co-located, and hybrid renewable energy projects.  The SCADA Supervisor will interface with and coordinate the activities of all SCADA vendors from the beginning to the end of each project’s lifecycle.  Additionally, the SCADA Supervisor will work closely with other teams internal to Arevon, including Operations, Energy Markets, and Regulatory Compliance to maximize project availability.An ideal candidate for this role will have a genuine interest in renewable energy as well as education and experience relating to utility scale solar and energy storage assets.  They will have a solid track record of exemplary teamwork, strong leadership skills, and enjoy working on a dynamic and diverse team.  Strengths include organizing, planning, and meeting deadlines for large, multi-faceted projects.  They desire the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues, lead a highly skilled and motivated team, and thrive in an environment that requires flexibility and adaptation to constant change, shifting demands, and moving timelines.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead the SCADA team on a day to day basis and provide guidance and prioritization to team members.</li><li>Develop and maintain exhibits for standardizing SCADA and control requirements for PV and BESS projects.</li><li>Perform technical due diligence towards upcoming technologies in energy storage and plant control systems.</li><li>Coordinate with internal and external teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve SCADA issues.</li><li>Assist in management of requirements from energy regulatory organizations (CAISO, FERC, NERC etc.)</li><li>Assist in managing site acceptance testing for projects.</li><li>Assist in managing the deliverables related to SCADA and plant communications outlined within the project interconnection agreements, CAISO New Resource Implementation Process, etc.</li><li>Be able to demonstrate understanding of high voltage electrical system operations.</li><li>Communicate with the Operations team and third-party O&amp;M providers to evaluate real-time plant telemetry and control issues.</li><li>Collaborate with SCADA vendors and associated parties for projects towards SCADA design, implementation, and testing.</li><li>Assist in the development of turn-key EPC technical documents and support enforcement of the contract for the project duration.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or a similar level of technical training and education.</li><li>At least 5 years of renewable energy SCADA experience.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems as they relate to utility scale solar plants and battery energy storage systems.</li><li>Experience in dealing with control systems and communication infrastructures related to automation.</li><li>Prior understanding of operation of hybrid generating assets (i.e., PV + BESS).</li><li>Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical explanations.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.</li><li>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.</li><li>Work within a project team, as well as analyzing, troubleshooting and prioritizing problems independently.</li><li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills.</li><li>Understand safety principles, to safely work on equipment.</li><li>Strong leadership skills.</li></ul>Why Join Arevon?
