This is a position is to be based in Schiedam, the Netherlands.  What will you be doing? As a QC/QA Engineer you are responsible to create and manage the conditions that the overhauls and repairs in the propulsion workshops are carried out to the Wartsila standards and in line with requirements from the Classification Societies. The QC/QA activities requires a high level of autonomy that will be supported by the workshop managers, team leaders and coordinators managing the customer orders and projects. In this role, your work will include all quality related topics within a workshop environment. On a typical day, you might be starting with a Classification survey and end the day with an inspection of machined components. For us to be the best match is when you have a solid understanding of mechanical installations, their technical drawings, machining and assembly activities, quality management systems and experience with process improvements within a workshop environment.
