For more information, please visit <a href="http://www.karenclarkandco.com/">www.kcc.us.com</a>.Expected Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and maintain the wind vulnerability module, and perform validation tests on model loss estimates</li><li>Conduct literature surveys of property damage from past windstorms and stay current on the latest research on the wind vulnerability of buildings</li><li>Collect and analyze insurance claims and loss data, develop insights to apply in model development</li><li>Evaluate building codes, building inventories, and construction practices by country, region, and state</li><li>Conduct post-event field surveys after major events</li><li>Prepare technical documentation and presentations for internal and external audiences</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Ph.D. in Wind Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, and/or any discipline with research focus on wind vulnerability</li><li>Experience in performance-based design, probabilistic and stochastic risk modeling, and reliability analysis applied to structural engineering</li><li>Experience in numerical modeling and scientific programming using Python, R, C#, or similar languages, with demonstrated data mining and statistical analysis skills</li><li>Strong skills in technical writing, documentation, and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences</li><li>Ability to travel within the US or internationally with little advance notice</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) plan with company match</li><li>Flexible Spending Account (FSA)</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Paid time off (PTO) and company holidays</li><li>Paid parental leave</li></ul>
