In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide technical analysis on existing projects and business development efforts. </p><h2>You will be responsible for</h2><ul> <li>Providing support to clients and to your team in Exponent’s Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice, with a focus on environmental chemistry data analysis and chemical fingerprinting to identify sources of chemicals in soil, sediment, groundwater, and air</li> <li>Supporting multidisciplinary project teams on exciting and challenging projects that construct history of industrial operations and contaminant releases to identify liabilities among responsible parties </li> <li>Investing in your professional development by:  <ul>   <li>Attending conference presentations and participating in journal publications</li>   <li>Expanding your professional visibility</li>   <li>Developing client relationships </li>  </ul></li></ul><h2>You will have the following skills and qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Ph.D. in Civil, Environmental, or Geologic Engineering, Environmental/Earth Science, Environmental Chemistry, or a related discipline </li> <li>Three to five (3-5) years of environmental litigation support experience with a consulting company in the United States is required </li> <li>Familiarity with environmental chemistry, contaminant fate and transport, PFAS, chlorinated solvents, PCBs, among other organic and inorganic compounds; apportionment and allocation of response costs is a plus </li> <li>Strong interest in career and professional development within a dynamic consulting environment </li> <li>Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills </li> <li>Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and manage time effectively </li> <li>Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines </li> <li>Presently legally authorized to work in the United States.  No immigration sponsorship or processing required.  </li></ul><p> </p><p><em>Applicants are encouraged to submit a CV with publications (feel free to include publications that are in review or pending) [not restricted to 1 page].</em></p><h2>Life @ Exponent</h2><p>To learn more about life at Exponent and our impact, please visit the following links:https://www.exponent.com/careers/life-exponenthttps://www.exponent.com/company/our-impact</p><p> </p><p>Attracting, inspiring, developing, and rewarding exceptional people with diverse backgrounds and expertise are central to our corporate culture. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent.
