You will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) practices across the project, helping to protect people, assets, communities, and the environment.</p><p>Working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you will drive a proactive HSSE culture, ensure compliance with legal and international standards, and support operational excellence throughout all phases of project execution.</p><h2>What you’ll be doing</h2><p>In this role, you will take ownership of HSSE leadership and project compliance activities, including:</p><ul> <li><p>Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the project HSSE Management System and HSSE Plan</p></li> <li><p>Develop and enforce HSSE procedures related to wind turbine installation, heavy lifting, and work at height activities</p></li> <li><p>Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, permits, ISO standards, and project HSSE requirements</p></li> <li><p>Act as the primary HSSE focal point with authorities, contractors, and project stakeholders</p></li> <li><p>Lead and coordinate HSSE personnel, contractors, training programs, and awareness initiatives across the project</p></li> <li><p>Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to ensure safe project execution</p></li> <li><p>Manage incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and emergency preparedness activities</p></li> <li><p>Monitor and report HSSE performance, KPIs, trends, and improvement initiatives to project leadership</p></li></ul><p>Your work will directly contribute to protecting people, strengthening project performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of Scatec’s wind energy ambitions.</p><h2>What you’ll gain</h2><ul> <li><p>Professional growth through leadership of a large-scale renewable energy project</p></li> <li><p>Hands-on experience in a role that combines strategic HSSE leadership with operational project execution</p></li> <li><p>Exposure to international HSSE standards, best practices, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration</p></li> <li><p>Opportunity to influence project culture and drive meaningful improvements in safety performance</p></li> <li><p>Experience within the rapidly growing wind energy sector and the broader energy transition</p></li> <li><p>A key role in safeguarding people, assets, and the environment while supporting project success</p></li></ul><h2>What you’ll bring</h2><h3>Experience and qualifications</h3><ul> <li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health &amp; Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field</p></li> <li><p>Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience within construction projects, including at least 5 years in a managerial role</p></li> <li><p>Experience within wind energy projects is highly preferred</p></li> <li><p>NEBOSH International General Certificate or an equivalent HSSE certification is an advantage</p></li> <li><p>Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems; GWO safety training or certification is considered an advantage</p></li> <li><p>Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken</p></li></ul><h2>What it’s like to work at Scatec</h2><p>At Scatec, we combine purpose with performance.
