Our culture supports our values by fostering innovative and critical thinking and a deep belief in living up to our promises.   Headquartered in the United States, Pattern has a global portfolio of more than 30 power facilities and transmission assets, serving various customers that provide low-cost clean energy to millions of consumers.<h2>Responsibilities</h2> JOB PURPOSE  This position will support onsite operations, maintenance and repairs required for power generation at a Pattern Energy High Voltage Direct Current Converter Station(s) as directed by the Facility Manager.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES  <ul> <li>  Support the Facility Manager in all areas of the Pattern operating site. Ensure a positive working environment by maintaining discipline, morale, and employee relations.</li> <li>Balance of Plant - operate and maintain associated plant equipment, including substations, transmission lines, electric motor(s) controls, low and medium voltage load centers, switchgear, and other site activities</li> <li>Lead the use of maintenance documentation, reporting tools and performance systems necessary for reporting and performance improvement.</li> <li>Provide hands-on technical support and supervision for plant equipment and power delivery systems, as well as with other facility civil work, building maintenance and upkeep.</li> <li>Enable teammates’ ability and awareness to work safely and stop work as required. Support driving the injury-free workplace culture by facilitating safe work habits, hazard recognition, risk assessment, peer to peer feedback, and proper use of human performance tools.</li> <li>Manage site specific and corporate procedures, policies, training programs, safety programs and work practices and related updates as required.</li> <li>Balance and support facility public relations and community interactions.</li> <li>Maintain regulatory compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations and associated permits. Ensure obligations are met using the CMMS.</li></ul>    <h2>Qualifications</h2>Required Work Experience <ul> <li>Electrical and Mechanical trouble shooting experience </li> <li>Proficient with computers and Microsoft applications. </li> <li>Basic understanding of one-line diagrams and schematics.</li> <li>Ability to read, write and understand Switching Orders.</li> <li>Perform Hot-Cold-Hot voltage checks, visual opens, grounds and follow LOTO procedures.</li> <li>Experience racking-out low and medium voltage circuit breakers</li></ul>  Education <ul> <li>Diploma degree or technical school certificate; or 3 years of related experience in BOP; or equivalent combination of education and experience </li></ul> Additional Requirements <ul> <li>Candidates must be willing and able to work with high workloads in stressful conditions</li></ul>    and in physically demanding settings while maintaining professional, non-confrontational    behavior and demonstrating the utmost ethical values. Examples include, but are not    limited to, traveling, harsh temperatures, extreme driving conditions, various 24/7  working hours, and supporting other business units and locations as needed.<ul> <li>Must have general understanding of NERC and CIP compliance. </li> <li>The ability to train others as needed and maintain any training needs.</li> <li>Must have and maintain a good driving record.</li></ul>   Preference may be given to candidates with the following:<ul> <li>Experience in Substation switching and maintenance operations (In-house training, or schooling certifications)</li> <li>Overall BOP experience (PMT switching/inspections, switchgear switching, transmission line inspections) </li></ul> The expected starting pay range for this role is $38.21 – $ 47.77 per Hour, USD. This range is an estimate, and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
