You will act as a key link between engineering and commercial functions by interpreting customer specifications, developing transformer designs or configurations, preparing technical proposals, and supporting project execution from initial inquiry through to final delivery.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>Energize your days, get ready to: <ul> <li> Analyze customer requirements, single-line diagrams, specifications, and standards (IEEE/IEC/CSA) to determine suitable transformer solutions.</li> <li> Prepare accurate technical proposals, sizing calculations, and design recommendations for power, distribution, or specialty transformers.</li> <li> Collaborate closely with design engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and compliance with customer requirements.</li> <li> Support the sales team with technical clarifications, product presentations, and bid strategy.</li> <li> Perform loss evaluations, efficiency calculations, thermal assessments, and impedance or short-circuit performance checks.</li> <li> Assist customers with product selection, configuration options, and system application guidance.</li> <li> Review and interpret customer comments, deviations, or exceptions and provide formal responses.</li> <li> Participate in customer meetings (virtual or on-site) to discuss technical details, design features, or application considerations.</li> <li> Provide post-order support including documentation reviews, drawing approvals, and answering technical queries.</li> <li> Stay current with industry standards, competitor products, and emerging transformer technologies.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>We are looking for: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.</li> <li>3–7 years of experience in transformer engineering.</li> <li>Strong understanding of transformer design principles, including core design, winding configurations, insulation systems, thermal performance, short‑circuit capability, and loss optimization.</li> <li>Strong understanding of transformer electrical characteristics, losses, thermal performance, and protection schemes.</li> <li>Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, CSA or other applicable standards.</li> <li>Ability to read electrical drawings and interpret utility/industrial specifications.</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and customer-facing skills.</li> <li>Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.</li></ul> Does this spark your interest? <ul> <li>A permanent position with real opportunities for advancement </li></ul><ul> <li>An RRSP/DPSP </li></ul><ul> <li>100% employer-paid group insurance </li></ul><ul> <li>An employee assistance program </li></ul><ul> <li>A referral program </li></ul><ul> <li>On-site parking </li></ul><ul> <li>Company events </li></ul><ul> <li>Flexibility, projects, and lots of teamwork </li></ul><ul> <li>But above all, a friendly atmosphere and lots of fun at work! </li></ul> The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000. To transform your career, join our energy! We look forward to receiving your application! <h2>Job Locations</h2>CA-ON-Mississauga
