We are seeking a passionate electrical engineer to join the hardware development team of SPAN. As a electrical engineer, you will apply your knowledge electrical and PCB design and manufacturing processes to assist SPAN’s hardware design, testing, and manufacturing efforts.In this role, you will:<ul style=""><li>Create schematic and layouts for these electrical designs in Altium.</li><li>Library support of components in Altium.</li><li>Read datasheets and analyze electrical component specifications for part selection.</li><li>Build prototype components and assemblies and perform tests related to compliance, environmental, and reliability with appropriate documentation for the same</li><li>Create electrical prototypes and own them from concept, design, manufacturing, to testing.</li><li>Interface with cross-functional teams such as mechanical engineering, software engineering, firmware engineering, and product to define requirements.</li></ul>About YouRequired QualificationsWe are seeking a electrical engineer who is:<ul style=""><li>BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.</li><li>1-3 years in design or test of PCBAs.</li><li>Able to write and analyze design documentation.</li><li>Excited about digging into complex problems and seeing them through to solution.</li><li>Passionate about renewable energy and energy storage!</li></ul><div style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;"> </div>Bonus QualificationsWe would love to hire someone who has:<ul style=""><li>Hands on experience with mixed signal circuit design including test and simulations.</li><li>Experience with high-level coding languages such as Python for scripting or data analysis.</li><li>Experience writing or interfacing with low-level languages in a device firmware context.</li></ul>
