The System Design and Mission Assurance (SDMA) team plays a foundational role in the company's success, responsible for constructing the safety case and fail-operational design for our autonomous driving robots before public road deployment. You will be part of an organization with strong leadership and a transparent, respectful culture that enables you to reach your full potential.</span></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><li>Oversee and manage the end-to-end SDMA clearance process, ensuring all program stages are executed efficiently while ensuring scalable and robust processes are implemented as the company expands</li><li>Lead a team of Technical Program Managers, providing guidance and support for multiple concurrent clearance programs, including live service, early milestone, and clearance</li><li>Develop and drive program schedules, milestones, and deliverables related to the safety and clearance of our autonomous robotaxi</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all clearance-related activities, facilitating communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams</li><li>Define and manage the scope and timeline for the various clearance activities, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to the clearance programs while managing dependencies across various teams</li><li>Report on program status, risks, and progress to senior leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities and timelines</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>At least 8 years of experience in technical program management, with a proven track record of shipping complex, safety-critical systems</li><li>Experience managing and leading teams of program managers or technical leads</li><li>BS or MS in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of complex hardware and software development lifecycles</li><li>Experience in program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Experience with automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262 or other safety-related standards (e.g., IEC 61508, DO-178C)</li><li>Experience in the autonomous vehicle industry</li><li>Familiarity with systems engineering and requirements management</li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
