Grow here.We are looking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic Civil Engineer with some experience in Geotechnical enginering to join our Ground engineering &amp; Tunneling team as a Junior Geotechnical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career engineer who is eager to develop their skills while contributing to technically challenging underground and large‑scale infrastructure projects.Working as part of a multicultural team with other engineers on site in Madrid and in other offices (Poland, India, among others) you will be involved in developing all aspects of mid- to large-scale projects supported by Enterprise Capabilities area.Key responsibilities<ul><li>Support and contribute to subsurface investigations, including planning, interpretation of ground investigation data, engineering analysis, and preparation of geotechnical design recommendations to meet project and client requirements.</li><li>Carry out ground engineering design tasks for a given project, such as:<ul><li>Bearing capacity and settlement analysis for foundations</li><li>Earthworks and ground improvement solutions</li><li>Stability analyses (slopes, excavations, embankments)</li><li>Input to tunnelling and underground works design, where applicable</li></ul></li><li>Perform defined and limited portions of larger engineering assignments, working under the guidance of senior engineers while gradually taking increasing technical responsibility.</li><li>Independently develop engineering calculations, technical notes, and draft reports, with review and mentoring from senior team members, ensuring quality and timely delivery.</li><li>Contribute to value engineering exercises of low to moderate complexity, evaluating alternative design solutions, materials, or construction methods.</li><li>Participate in quality control reviews of calculations, drawings and technical documentation, including involvement in interdisciplinary design reviews.</li><li>Support the project team in achieving technical objectives, milestones, budget and programme requirements.</li></ul>What we offer<ul><li>The chance to work on major and complex infrastructure projects internationally.</li><li>Mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers and technical specialists.</li><li>A supportive and inclusive team culture where your ideas and contributions matter.</li><li>Hybrid working options and flexible working hours.</li></ul>
