Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power or HVAC Technician 1 based in Lake Charles (Sulphur), LA . You’ll perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors at the shop or in the field. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.               What you’ll do:<ul><li>Expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle</li><li>You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs</li><li>You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites</li></ul> You are:<ul><li>Able to provide a High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience</li><li>Proven to have 2-5 years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs</li><li>Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.</li></ul> Here’s what you’ll get:<ul><li>Full-time with potential for overtime and/or weekends</li><li>Personal use vehicle</li><li>No premium cost medical plan option available</li><li>Robust technical training programs, in person and virtual, on diesel, gas, compressed air, electrical, controls, oil free air compressors, HVAC, microgrid &amp; storage and more</li><li>Safety-focused culture working on brand new technology</li></ul>Other essential job requirements  <ul><li>Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts</li><li>Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices</li><li>Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level</li><li>Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders</li><li>Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat</li></ul>Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
