Our strength is our people and we’re always looking to get stronger across North America, Europe, and Asia.Join us as a Senior Robotics Process Engineer in Lake Orion, MI as we work together to bring innovative automation solutions to life.  Location Type: This is an onsite role located in Lake Orion, MI. As a Senior Robotics Process Engineer, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry.  This role will enable you to perfect your experience while integrating some of the most state of the art robotics &amp; technology available.  The innovative solutions we work on offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities. How You’ll Make an Impact:<ul><li>Teach TCPs, Frames, Loads, DCS (Safety Configuration)</li><li>Configure robot I/O (including communications)</li><li>Set up and configure various types of dispense process equipment within paint shop and general assembly applications</li><li>Set up and configure various types of vision equipment including robot mounted as well as floor mounted systems</li><li>Development of Offline Programs (OLPs)</li><li>Develop simulations with one or more platforms for internal and external process validations</li><li>Use your exposure to cycle time improvement initiatives to optimize robot applications.</li><li>Confirmation of robot models</li><li>Lead robotics projects</li><li>Mentor others in the department as applicable</li></ul>Note: This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.What You’ll Bring: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering field, associate degree in engineering field</li><li>7-10 years of related or equivalent experience programming robots and launching robot systems</li><li>5+ years experience commissioning from scratch to customer standards</li><li>Previous automotive industry experience preferred.</li></ul>Skills You’ll Have:  <ul><li>Experience with one or more robot applications: Material Handling, Dispense (Urethane, Sealer, Adhesive, Paint), Welding (Spot, Arc, Laser)</li><li>Familiar with robot peripheral devices, Tool Center Points, offline programming software, External Axis, User Frame</li><li>Fanuc RoboGuide, Fanuc Vision, Fanuc 2D Vision, 3D Vision, 3DV</li><li>Experience with robotic and third party vision systems</li></ul>Other Details:  <ul><li>Must be able to travel 35% - 50% to customer sites and other JR locations</li></ul>Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.Company Overview:  At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
