Location:Perafita, Porto, PortugalJob ID: R0121081Date Posted:2026-04-15Company Name:HITACHI ENERGY PORTUGAL, S.A.Profession (Job Category):FinanceJob Schedule: Full timeRemote:NoJob Description:<h2>The Opportunity</h2>We are looking for a Project Controller for our premises in Portugal, in our Perafita office, who will be acting as a business partner responsible for all financial and commercial matters; actively driving individual project performance.<h2>How you will make an impact</h2><ul><li>Lead complex accounting activities by independently researching, preparing, and evaluating non‑routine accounting entries, identifying reporting issues early, and proposing well‑reasoned solutions.</li><li>Drive planning and financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, with a strong understanding of cost structures, business drivers, and deviation analysis versus budget or prior periods.</li><li>Support contract and tender activities by providing financial input, analyzing contract terms and conditions, and advising on basic contractual structures in collaboration with legal when needed.</li><li>Actively manage project and business risks by identifying financial risk exposures, contributing to risk reviews, recommending mitigation measures, and supporting project reviews during execution.</li><li>Enable strong project financial outcomes by supporting Project Managers, driving project cash flow, and overseeing currency, tax, and related financial risk considerations.</li><li>Strengthen internal controls and financial integrity by understanding reporting requirements, recognizing control gaps, ensuring segregation of duties, and communicating control deficiencies accurately and timely.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Your background</h2><ul><li>Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance </li><li>Minimum 2 years in project controlling and Power and/or T&amp;D industries experience of advantage.</li><li>Good knowledge of SAP.</li><li>Customer and business oriented, strong commercial and communication skills.</li><li>Portuguese fluent.
