We don’t expect you to ‘fit’ every requirement – your life experience, character, perspective, and passion for achieving great things in the world are equally as important to us.<h1>Job description</h1>Meet our TeamHitachi Digital Services Japan, which is the HDS’s Japan country office, is strengthening its offshore engineering services leveraging development centers in Vietnam and India, building a global delivery structure that combines high quality and cost competitiveness.What you’ll be doing<div><ul><li>Work closely with Japanese customers to understand business requirements, existing systems, operational challenges, and future expectations.</li><li>Conduct system analysis, requirement clarification, and upstream consulting activities during the early project phase.</li><li>Analyze customer requirements and translate them into functional specifications, user stories, or solution proposals for offshore teams.</li><li>Participate in solution discussion and support high-level architecture and system design alignment.</li><li>Act as the communication bridge between Japanese stakeholders and offshore delivery teams in Vietnam/India.</li><li>Lead and coordinate offshore teams during development and delivery phases.</li><li>Support project planning, requirement tracking, change management, and delivery coordination.</li><li>Review deliverables and ensure alignment with customer expectations and Japanese quality standards.</li><li>Participate in workshops, system walkthroughs, demos, testing activities, and customer discussions.</li><li>Prepare and maintain bilingual documentation (Japanese/English).</li><li>Collaborate with technical teams on system architecture, development approach, integration, and implementation planning.</li><li>Work onsite in Sendai, Japan.</li></ul></div>What you bring to the team<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.</li><li>Japanese proficiency: Business level or above (JLPT N2 or higher).</li><li>Vietnamese proficiency: Business level or above.</li><li>English communication skills for collaboration with global/offshore teams.</li><li>5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, System Analysis, Bridge SE, Technical Lead, or customer-facing IT roles.</li><li>Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).</li><li>Technical background with understanding of system architecture, application development, integration, and software engineering processes.</li><li>Ability to understand technical discussions and coordinate effectively with development teams.</li><li>Strong communication, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Experience working with Japanese enterprise customers or onsite projects in Japan.</li></ul>Preferred / Nice to Have<ul><li>Experience in Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, or other enterprise domains.</li><li>Hands-on experience or understanding of technologies such as Java, Python, C#, Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), or enterprise application architecture.</li><li>Experience leading offshore development teams.</li><li>Knowledge of AI / Generative AI related solutions or modernization projects is a plus.</li><li>Experience creating BRD/FSD, workflow diagrams, solution documents, or architecture-related documentation.</li><li>Familiarity with Japanese project management and quality control practices</li></ul>#LI-VL1<h1>About us</h1>We’re a global, team of innovators.
