Department MaintenanceReports to Maintenance SupervisorEmployment Status Regular, Full-Time FLSA Classification Non-ExemptShift 2-2-3Location USA – Olyphant, PA  Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for scheduled maintenance tasks, assisting in troubleshooting, assembling, fitting, installing, and repairing plant equipment, and documenting maintenance tasks and repairs on production lines and equipment within their shift. Essential Functions/Key Deliverables  <ul><li>Ensure overall maintenance of machines according to maintenance plan. Perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required. Document all equipment maintenance on appropriate forms.</li><li>Maintain reliability and functionality of all mechanical equipment and processes utilized in the facility.</li><li>Repair and test equipment to specification. </li><li>Troubleshoot, and perform required tasks to maintain equipment in operational status. Follow technical diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications for troubleshooting malfunctions.</li><li>Comply with all quality control, manufacturing, and safety procedures associated with plant operations.</li><li>Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies. </li><li>Read and interpret engineering drawings and specification. </li><li>Assist with operation of production equipment as required. </li><li>Actively support machine operator during line changeover. </li><li>Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems, including performing internal audits as required. </li><li>Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.</li><li>Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.</li></ul>Knowledge/Skills/Experience <ul><li>Vocational education a plus (Mechanical, Technical or similar).</li><li>3 years’ experience as a Mechanic, Maintenance Specialist, or high-level Machine Operator role in manufacturing/industrial environment.</li><li>Problem solving skills. </li><li>Proficient with use of precision measurement equipment and tolerances.</li><li>Ability to work independently or as a team.</li><li>Basic knowledge of welding, plumbing, and fabrication.</li><li>Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, including fault analysis.</li><li>Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environmental protection regulations.</li></ul>  Physical Demands N (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this position.  O (Occasionally) Position requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day)  F (Frequently) Position requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day)  C (Constantly) Position requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day) Lift/Carry  10 lbs or less  F 11-25 lbs   F   25-50+ lb- O Push/Pull 10 lbs or less  F  11-25 lbs   F   25-50+ lb- O Stand  C   Walk  C Sit  O   Manually Manipulate  O   Reach Outward  F   Reach Above Shoulder  F  Climb  O  Crawl  O  Squat or Kneel  F  Bend  FOther Physical Requirements  Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth)  Sense of Sound - Ability to understand conversational speaking  Sense of Touch  Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - per safety guidelines  Mobility to cover expansive manufacturing environment Work Environment    Ability to work in an environment that can become loud and very hot (temperature) depending on the weather. Reasonable Accommodations Statement To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
