Lightship and this role are highly collaborative! You will be working cross-functionally with multiple engineering organizations to work towards our common goal of building the best all electric camping experience possible.</div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Set up and execute a wide range of electrical and mechanical product tests. Testing includes: Safety, performance validation, and reliability tests with development and pre-production level parts and assemblies.</li><li>Lead in-test reporting of progress, failures, and testing risks to the test engineering team both onsite and remote</li><li>Collaborate with test and design engineers during post-test root cause analysis to identify failure modes and areas for product improvement</li><li>Fabricate various mechanical and electrical test fixtures using a range of manufacturing processes</li><li>Maintain all tools and equipment in the lab and continue to acquire and install new equipment to increase lab capabilities</li><li>Maintain test assets (test vehicles and test stands) and prepare them for testing, evaluation, and demonstration.</li><li>Collaborate with test engineers during the test planning phase to ensure feasible and realistic alignment with program goals</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3><ul><li>6+ yrs experience working as a technician in the automotive/EV, cleantech, or aerospace industries</li><li>Experience instrumenting test articles with sensors such as accelerometers, thermocouples, and electrical sensors, and working off of a documented test plan</li><li>Experience with data acquisition systems and measurement devices</li><li>Experience with welding, shop, and fabrication equipment</li><li>Demonstrated experience working in and maintaining a lab development environment</li><li>Experience towing trailers or RVs</li><li>Experience creating custom wire harnesses and test fixtures with little oversight</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Prior experience working in an automotive test lab</li><li>Exposure to and proficiency with high voltage safety, power electronics, and electric motors and propulsion systems</li><li>Working knowledge of automotive and AC electrical systems</li><li>Experience with soldering and instrumenting circuit boards</li><li>Experience troubleshooting software and CAN messaging systems</li><li>Experience generating technical documents for training and test report generation (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)</li></ul><h3>Compensation</h3><ul><li>Actual pay rate will be determined based on qualifications and experience.</li><li>Lightship compensation consists of the stated pay range plus equity, which gives you a stake in the company.</li></ul><br><div><strong style="font-size:11pt;">Employee Benefits &amp; Philosophy - Applies to Full Time Employees only</strong></div><div>- Healthcare, Dental, Vision</div><div>- 401k</div><div>- Flexible Paid Time Off - that we actually want you to use!</div><div>- 13 Company Holidays: 8 throughout the year + the company observes a week of scheduled downtime during the end of the year, allowing all employees to enjoy a break</div><div>- 12 weeks paid parental leave</div><div>- Yearly LightTrip stipend for an RV trip &amp;/or professional development opportunities </div><div> </div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">Lightship offers all of its full time employees and their dependents full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance.
