Job SummaryAECOM is seeking a Field Supervisor – Transmission &amp; Substation with Hybrid Renewable Integration  for PMC for execution of EHV/UHV infrastructure projects (33kV–765kV). This is a site-based contractual role, responsible for supervising construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities for transmission lines, substations (AIS/GIS), and renewable energy evacuation systems (solar, wind, BESS).The role acts as the PMC representative at site, ensuring EPC contractors deliver works in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and project schedules, while supporting seamless grid integration of hybrid renewable energy systems.Core strength lies in on-site supervision of transmission and substation works with integrated renewable energy systems, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and engineering standards, while maintaining project schedules and enabling seamless grid integration. The role contributes to safe, compliant, and timely delivery of hybrid energy infrastructure projects, aligned with AECOM’s operational excellence and client expectations.Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision – Transmission &amp; Substation<ul><li>Supervise execution of:<ul><li>Transmission lines (up to 132kV–765kV) – foundations, tower erection, stringing (conductor &amp; OPGW)</li><li>Substations (AIS/GIS) – equipment erection, busbar systems, cable laying, and bay installation</li></ul></li><li>Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.</li><li>Monitor contractor manpower, equipment deployment, and productivity.</li></ul>2. Renewable Integration &amp; Grid Connectivity<ul><li>Oversee integration of solar PV, wind farms, and BESS systems with transmission network.</li><li>Monitor installation and commissioning of:<ul><li>Pooling substations / switchyards</li><li>Step-up transformers, bays, and protection systems</li><li>Interconnection and evacuation infrastructure (OHPL &amp; UG cables)</li></ul></li><li>Support grid synchronization, commissioning, and compliance with CEA/Grid Code requirements.</li></ul>3. Technical Compliance &amp; Engineering Interface<ul><li>Ensure implementation of approved engineering drawings, BOQs, and vendor submissions.</li><li>Interpret SLDs, layouts, schematics, and stringing plans for accurate execution.</li><li>Coordinate with engineering teams for resolution of site-level technical issues and deviations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with CEA/CTU/STU regulations, IS/IEC standards, and utility requirements.</li></ul>4. Quality Assurance &amp; Inspection<ul><li>Ensure adherence to QAP/FQP/ITP requirements across all construction and installation activities.</li><li>Verify:<ul><li>Tower erection, stringing, and conductor sag compliance</li><li>Equipment installation (GIS/AIS), cable laying, and termination quality</li><li>Testing and commissioning readiness</li></ul></li><li>Support inspection, punch point closure, and NCR management.</li></ul>5. Health, Safety &amp; Environmental (HSE) Compliance<ul><li>Enforce strict adherence to HSSE standards and zero-incident safety culture.</li><li>Monitor:<ul><li>Permit-to-work systems</li><li>Safe working practices for EHV/UHV systems</li><li>Proper grounding, clearances, and working at height safety</li></ul></li><li>Support safety audits, incident investigations, and toolbox talks.</li></ul>6. Progress Monitoring &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Track project progress against approved schedules (L2/L3).</li><li>Maintain:<ul><li>Daily progress reports (DPRs)</li><li>Site logs, inspection records, and photographic documentation</li></ul></li><li>Identify delays, risks, and bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions.</li></ul>7. Coordination &amp; Stakeholder Management<ul><li>Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, QA/QC, HSE teams, and client representatives.</li><li>Facilitate smooth execution across civil, electrical, and I&amp;C interfaces.</li><li>Support client inspections, audits, and pre-commissioning activities.</li><li>Act as the primary site-level liaison for PMC.</li></ul>Quality &amp; Safety<ul><li>HSE Compliance &amp; Safe Work Practices</li><li>Inspection &amp; Testing (QAP/ITP adherence)</li><li>Quality Assurance &amp; NCR Management</li></ul>Coordination &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Contractor &amp; Vendor Coordination</li><li>Site Progress Monitoring &amp; Reporting</li><li>Issue Identification &amp; Resolution</li></ul>Tools &amp; Systems<ul><li>MS Office (Excel, Word, reporting tools)</li><li>Basic AutoCAD drawing interpretation</li><li>Exposure to project reporting tools (Primavera/MSP – preferred)</li></ul>
