Monitoring and implementing new accounting pronouncements affecting income taxes</li><li>Partner closely with external tax advisors worldwide to ensure our tax positions maintain strict adherence to local regulations while operating with a keen cultural awareness of global nuances.</li></ul>Tax Planning &amp; M&amp;A<ul><li>Partner with finance leadership and external tax advisors to identify and prioritize global tax planning strategies.</li><li>Manage the review of tax guidance on critical growth initiatives, including expansion into new international markets, the introduction of new products, and corporate initiatives like mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.</li><li>Manage highly complex tax issues and their financial impacts across a wide range of transactions and business initiatives, working directly alongside the Senior Director of Tax.</li></ul>SOX Compliance &amp; Internal Controls<ul><li>Execute SOX controls related to the tax areas, including preparation of supporting documentation and evidence of control operation.</li><li>Assist in maintaining tax policies and procedures documentation aligned with Workiva’s COSO framework.</li><li>Support the annual SOX risk assessment process in coordination with Internal Audit</li></ul>Digital Transformation &amp; AI-Enabled Leadership<ul><li>Actively pilot, evaluate, and embed AI tools into day-to-day tax workflows to accelerate research and drafting.</li><li>Proactively identify and implement scalable solutions (e.g., Alteryx, RPA, Claude, Workiva Platform, etc.) to automate workpapers and drive operational efficiencies.</li><li>Evaluate and manage tax technology solutions (e.g., ONESOURCE, Avalara) and data analytics platforms.</li></ul>What You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.</li><li>Active CPA designation.</li><li>8+ years of relevant corporate tax experience, with a combination of Big 4 and/or public companies</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>3  years of direct people management experience, including supervisor experience of managers</li><li>Extensive, proven experience in global tax strategy and managing complexities associated with global scaling.</li><li>Solid, hands-on experience preparing and reviewing ASC 740 income tax provisions, including interim period disclosures.</li><li>Advanced understanding of complex corporate tax principles and accounting principles.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment with the requirement of reliable, high-speed internet.</li><li>Master’s degree in Taxation (MST) or JD (requires 6+ years of relevant experience).</li><li>Significant background in public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred).</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to the broader tax profession (e.g., active leadership in professional organizations)</li></ul>Travel Requirements &amp; Working Conditions<ul><li>Ability to travel up to 10% travel for customer meetings and internal events</li><li>Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office</li></ul>How You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $133,000.00 - $214,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
