In this role, you’ll support the design, development and ongoing improvement of mechanical systems across Aggreko’s manufactured product range, helping deliver reliable, efficient solutions for customers worldwide.</p><p></p><p>Power without pause. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.</p><p></p><h2><b>What you’ll do as Mechanical Engineer:</b></h2><ul><li>Support the design, development, integration and validation of mechanical systems across new and existing products</li><li>Create technical specifications, functional design documentation and test procedures</li><li>Develop and maintain Bills of Materials and part specifications to support efficient manufacturing and assembly</li><li>Provide mechanical engineering support to manufacturing, operations and technical investigations</li><li>Contribute to RCA activities with OEMs and support resolution of quality issues</li><li>Ensure designs meet requirements across performance, reliability, maintainability and cost of ownership</li><li>Support continuous improvement of existing products and adapt designs for new applications and markets</li><li>Collaborate with suppliers on component selection and lifecycle support</li><li>Promote strong HSE performance through safe, compliant design and risk assessment</li></ul><h2><b>You are:</b></h2><ul><li>A motivated Mechanical Engineer with experience in equipment or systems design</li><li>Strong in mechanical design principles, including analysis (thermal, stress, vibration, flow and noise)</li><li>Proficient in CAD tools (Creo/ProE or AutoCAD desirable)</li><li>Familiar with PLM (Enovia/Windchill), MRP (M3) and engineering change processes</li><li>Able to interpret requirements and produce fabrication, assembly drawings and detailed specifications</li><li>A collaborative team player with strong communication and organisational skills</li><li>Adaptable, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment</li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>You’ll bring:</b></h2><ul><li>Experience in mechanical systems design and component selection</li><li>Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and engineering best practice</li><li>Exposure to powertrain systems (engines, alternators, couplings, AVMs, mounting frames) and associated calculations</li><li>Understanding of cooling systems, including performance across different environmental conditions</li><li>Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on right-first-time, zero-defect delivery</li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>Here’s what you’ll get:</b></h2><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package, including pension and bonus</li><li>Generous holiday allowance with the option to buy or sell additional days</li><li>Access to development opportunities to grow your engineering career</li><li>Health and wellbeing support, including Employee Assistance Programme and GP services</li><li>Discounts, perks and opportunities to give back through volunteering</li></ul><p></p><p>Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
