AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for our Water Resources Group in British Columbia, Canada. This new role offers the right candidate the potential for a fast upward career progression within AECOM.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Apply experience and knowledge to the planning and design of stormwater infrastructure for municipal, transportation and mining projects.</li><li>Design drainage systems and stormwater control structures for the municipal, transportation and mining sectors.</li><li>Develop MMCD and NMS design specifications and cost estimates for tender documents.</li><li>Perform site inspections and collaborate with the contract administrator for construction or stormwater systems.</li><li>Work with the Water Resources planning/modelling team to define existing and future scenarios, analyze results and make recommendations for future upgrades/capital planning, including cost estimates.</li><li>Design green infrastructure, including infiltration, retention and treatment systems such as raingardens, bioswales, ponds, etc.</li><li>Define scope for topographical survey work and geotechnical assessments to inform stormwater systems design.</li><li>Supervise the work of junior engineers and drafters.</li><li>Collaborate with geomorphologists to develop engineered solutions, including river crossings, erosion and scour protection.</li><li>Prepare high-quality standards design reports.</li><li>Assist in the development of scopes of work and budgets for water resources projects or for water resources components of larger projects (i.e. multi-disciplinary).</li><li>Communicate and work with other project team members and clients, providing a high standard of technical excellence to support that all documentation conforms to client/company standards.</li><li>Ability to develop presentation skills, clearly articulate thoughts and think critically in relation to project development. In particular, to present, discuss, promote and defend design solutions to AECOM project teams and clients.</li></ul>
