Reporting into the VP Performance Marketing this critical marketing position owns our first go-to-market Brand campaign. With a key focus on top of funnel channels, you will lead an agency and internal team in developing, executing and reporting on a brand campaign launching summer 22. We are looking for a leader who understands top of funnel paid channel investment strategy and has a highly quantitative background in terms of measuring results – ideally within the consumer finance sector.
What You'll Do
Paid Media Channel Strategy – The Director Brand - Paid Media owns the channel strategy and execution of focused on key target segments of highly mission aligned consumers. This encompasses building and optimizing our mix, including Video (TV & digital), Audio, OOH, Paid Social, etc. - all with the goal of increasing brand awareness and achieving aggressive customer growth. This person will be responsible for partnering with our Brand Agency to define our channel mix based on audience segmentation and define our national vs. focused market approach.
Team Leadership – In-directly lead, manage, and mentor a team of in-house experts. This role requires strong cross functional coordination. This person will be responsible for bringing together internal teams within our Brand, Creative, Product, and Analytics to solidify strategy and support execution and ongoing optimization.
Budget and Agency Management – Own external agency & vendor relationships, including Brand marketing agency.
Holistic Customer Experience – Identify opportunities to connect our Brand campaign to our broader customer experience. Partner with the broader Performance Marketing team to define channel and creative synergies. In addition, work closely with the Brand/Creative team and SEO team to define opportunities for content improvements.
Analytics & Attribution – Collaborating closely with the internal Marketing Analytics team, work to define KPI framework and measurement strategy for the Brand Campaign. This should include top of funnel metrics such as increasing brand awareness, but also include how we’ll measure downstream impact on conversion/performance marketing channels.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience in marketing with key focus on digital performance marketing
Experience leading performance marketing teams either on the agency side or complete in-house team.
Demonstrated experience implementing performance marketing initiatives that will scale to support the requirements of a growing organization
Deep understanding and hands-on platform experience with Facebook and Google Ads.
Thorough understanding of Affiliate platforms and economics.
Strong analytical mindset with expertise across tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, and ideally Segment.
Strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to effectively manage and optimize multi-million dollar acquisition budgets
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on communications, marketing, and business. MBA preferred
Financial Services background a big plus
