The candidate must have Avionics and Electrical experience to enable design of Teledyne products. The candidate will act as a technical certification interface, both internally and externally for the projects supported. The successful candidate will be a leader with excellent communications skills to effectively collaborate with external airline customers, UK-CAA, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines.Essential Duties and Responsibilities.<ul><li>Manage and maintain the DOA</li><li>Maintain the approval status of the UK DOA Handbook</li><li>Support the UK CAA yearly Audits with relation to the UK-CAA DOA</li><li>Generate Applications to be submitted to UK-CAA for obtaining STCs of Teledyne products<ul><li>Generate design to obtain UK-CAA STCs</li><li>Lead design reviews</li></ul></li><li>Work with US based Certification department to help with US based FAA STCs<ul><li>Generate US FAA STC minor modification data packages</li><li>Support design reviews</li></ul></li><li>Maintain knowledge and training of latest aviation regulations</li><li>Obtain and maintain knowledge of Teledyne products to allow design and STCs<ul><li>Requires ability to interpret existing aircraft design and develop electrical, mechanical, and functional interfaces and modifications to safely install and gain UK-CAA approval of Teledyne Controls avionics</li><li>Generate manufacturing drawings and kit drawings</li><li>Generate aircraft documentation including Master Data Lists, Weight and Balance, Electrical Load Analysis, Engineering orders and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness</li><li>Generate compliance and substantiation documents for STC projects such as EWIS and System Safety Analysis.</li></ul></li><li>Support First of Type (FOT) Installations at domestic and international customer locations</li></ul>Education and/or Experience                                                          Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five-to-six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Computer Skills                                                  <ul><li>Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office tools:  Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access; Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD is required</li></ul>Other Skills and Abilities                                                  <ul><li>Knowledge of communication, navigation, surveillance, and data/voice recording avionics systems is an asset</li></ul>Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position of 37 hours per week in this is UK location.  This position may at times require long hours and weekend or holiday work reflecting workload and deadlines.
