Founded in 2017,</strong><strong> we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.</strong></p></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><p><strong>Battery Disassembly Technician, Energy Storage </strong></p><p>The Battery Disassembly Technician performs safe, efficient, and high-quality disassembly of EV battery packs and modules within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The position requires strict adherence to high-voltage safety protocols, standardized work instructions, and continuous process improvement. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities will include: </strong></p><ul><li>Perform safe, controlled disassembly of EV and energy storage battery packs down to module and component level, following detailed work instructions and safety standards</li><li>Execute high-voltage isolation, verification, and handling procedures, including strict adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements</li><li>Sort, classify, and route battery components for reuse, recycling, or disposal in compliance with environmental and production guidelines</li><li>Operate within a high-throughput production environment, meeting performance targets while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and workflow continuity</li><li>Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment to support disassembly, inspection, and basic troubleshooting tasks</li><li>Safely handle, transport, and lift large-format battery systems using forklifts, cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment in accordance with safety protocols</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and ensure compliance with quality and EHS standards</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li>Operate a variety of material handling equipment and mechanical lifts (training provided). </li><li>Must meet all requirements for use of a full-face respirator, including medical clearance and fit testing, in accordance with OSHA and company standards. </li><li>Demonstrates working knowledge of mechanical fastening systems, electrical connections, and component-level disassembly techniques. </li><li>Prior rigging and heavy material handling experience is strongly preferred; however, training and certification will be provided for candidates with foundational mechanical aptitude. </li><li>Supports field operations as required (up to 10% travel) for battery system decommissioning, including on-site disassembly and material recovery. </li><li>Position includes additional internal and external trainings such as LOTO, Lifting/Rigging and High voltage Battery Basics etc. </li><li>A Passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!</li></ul><p></p><div><p><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">The position is full-time.
