We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Execute and review detailed design and Bill of material of centrifugal pumps and related components including sheet metal parts using Creo and Windchill</li><li>Perform engineering calculations</li><li>Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility</li><li>Support product testing and validation activities</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and internal design practices</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement, cost optimization, and design standardization initiatives</li></ul>Must have competencies:<ul><li>Experience in pump design / rotating equipment (mandatory)</li><li>Proficiency in CAD tools (mandatory) for 3D modelling, assemblies, and detailing</li><li>Hands-on experience in fits, tolerance, GD&amp;T and stack-up analysis and ensuring functional performance of mechanical systems</li><li>Experience in sheet metal design is advantageous</li><li>Strong analytical and mechanical design skills</li><li>Knowledge of manufacturing processes</li><li>Ability to independently execute design tasks with minimal supervision</li></ul>Good to have competencies:<ul><li>Knowledge of acoustic design and noise attenuation techniques</li><li>Exposure to standards such as ISO, ASME, HI etc.</li><li>Experience with pump testing and validation</li><li>Familiarity with FEA/CFD tools</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to Python-based design automation and optimization tools will be an added advantage</li></ul>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Mechanical design of centrifugal pumps</li><li>Understanding of prime movers i.e. electric motors and diesel engines</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with CAD tools (Creo or equivalent)</li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>6-9 Years</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
