You have to BUILD fast &amp; passionately and build to simplify.</p><h3>Job description</h3><p>The Mechanical Integration Lead is responsible for ensuring seamless integration of mechanical systems from design through production. This role focuses on managing design data, ensuring product quality through CTQ alignment, and driving robust mechanical integration practices including tolerance management and packaging design.</p><p></p><h3></h3><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Drawing Release &amp; Version Management</li><ul><li>Own the release of engineering drawings and maintain accuracy, traceability, and compliance with internal standards and PLM systems.</li><li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage engineering changes (ECR/ECO).</li></ul><li>Datapack Release for Production</li><ul><li>Prepare and release complete manufacturing datapacks including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.</li></ul><li>CTQ (Critical to Quality) Mapping &amp; Management</li><ul><li>Ensure CTQs are properly flowed down into design, validation, and production stages.</li></ul><li>Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis</li><ul><li>Perform tolerance analysis to ensure proper fit, function, and manufacturability.</li></ul><li>Mechanical Integration Design</li><ul><li>Ensure compatibility and alignment between interfacing components and drive issue resolution related to assembly, fitment, and performance.</li></ul><li>Packaging &amp; Integration Design</li><ul><li>Develop and optimize packaging layouts for mechanical components and assemblies.</li></ul></ul><h3>The ideal candidate</h3><ul><li>Proven experience in mechanical integration, product design, or system engineering</li><li>Attention to detail in design documentation and data management</li><li>Ability to manage multiple design releases and priorities</li><li>Familiarity with drawing standards and release processes</li><li>Strong understanding of GD&amp;T, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturing etc.  (DFX)</li><li>Cross-functional collaboration and communication</li><li>Bachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.</li></ul><h3>What matters more</h3><ul><li>High ownership of work. </li><li>Quality of work</li><li>Hands on work and problem solving. </li><li>Approach towards problem-solving</li><li>Dissatisfaction towards mediocre work</li><li>Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing</li></ul><h3>About us</h3><p>Exponent simplifies energy for EVs.</p><p>Co-founded by Arun Vinayak (Ather Energy's Founding Partner &amp; Former Chief Product Officer) and Sanjay Byalal (Former hardware strategic sourcing and cell strategy lead, Ather and Former Supply Chain Lead, HUL), Exponent focuses on solving two sides of the energy problem by building the e^pump (charging station) and e^pack (battery pack) which together unlock 15-min rapid charging.</p><p>The 200+ strong team of passionate builders have a ton of EV experience and are currently looking for more builders to join one of the best EV teams in India to build &amp; scale Exponent.</p><p></p>

<p>We believe EVs have completed the 0 to 1 shift of driving better than conventional vehicles. However, for the industry to exponentially scale from 1 to 100, the underlying energy problem needs to be simplified.</p>
