Lime is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Manager to lead the development and execution of the company’s international trade compliance program across a rapidly growing micromobility business.As the Global Trade Compliance Manager, you will lead the development and scaling of our international trade compliance program- ensuring compliance with global import/export regulations while enabling the efficient cross-border movement of vehicles, batteries, parts, and technology. The position plays a critical role in supporting global expansion, managing regulatory risk, and building scalable compliance processes. You will manage execution as well as acting as a trusted advisor to supply chain leadership with regard to the global tariff landscape. This role operates with high autonomy, setting methods and driving execution while partnering closely with internal stakeholders on broader strategy.This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in the United States to maintain effective collaboration across teams.<div style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;"> </div>What You'll Do:<ul style=""><li>Design, implement, and continuously improve a global trade compliance program aligned with high-growth, multi-market operations</li><li>Ensure compliance with import/export regulations across key regions (e.g., EU, US, APAC), including customs, sanctions, and export controls</li><li>Classify micromobility products (e-scooters, e-bikes, IoT devices, spare parts, and lithium-ion batteries) using HS codes and determine duties and tariffs</li><li>Oversee compliance related to the international movement of lithium-ion batteries, including hazardous materials (dangerous goods) regulations (IATA, IMDG, ADR)</li><li>Manage export control processes, including licensing requirements for embedded software, GPS/IoT components, and encryption technologies</li><li>Lead restricted party screening processes across suppliers, logistics partners, and customers</li><li>Partner closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Hardware, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure compliant and efficient global distribution</li><li>Support market entry into new countries by assessing trade compliance requirements and regulatory barriers</li><li>Provide detailed analytics around business financial impacts for global duties and tariffs for financial planning and budgeting.</li><li>Manage Duty Drawback and Tariff refund processes.</li><li>Monitor global regulatory changes (e.g., sustainability rules, battery regulations, recycling directives) and advise on business impact</li><li>Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and post-entry reviews; implement corrective actions where needed</li><li>Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and relevant government authorities</li><li>Set scalable methods for classification, compliance workflows, and audit readiness across key markets</li><li>Influence cross-functional decisions by translating regulatory requirements into clear business trade-offs (e.g., cost, speed, risk)</li><li>Lead investigations and resolution of compliance issues, disclosures, or audits</li><li>Develop and deliver training programs for internal stakeholders across global teams</li></ul>About You:<ul style=""><li>Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)</li><li>6–10+ years of experience in global trade compliance, ideally within hardware, mobility, automotive, or consumer electronics industries</li><li>Strong knowledge of customs regulations, export controls, and sanctions regimes across multiple jurisdictions</li><li>Direct experience handling battery shipments and dangerous goods compliance strongly preferred</li><li>Experience with HS classification, origin determination, and valuation methodologies</li><li>Familiarity with trade compliance systems and ERP platforms</li><li>Professional certifications (e.g., Licensed Customs Broker, CCS, or equivalent) are a plus</li><li>Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth, and operationally complex environment</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset</li><li>Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management</li><li>High attention to detail with the ability to scale processes globally</li><li>Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate regulations into actionable guidance</li><li>Proactive, hands-on approach with a builder mentality, able to create scalable processes while staying close to day-to-day operations</li></ul>U.S. Based Position - What We Offer:<ul style=""><li>Comprehensive Health &amp; Wellness: A choice of medical, dental, and vision plans.
