We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Director of Product Marketing to shape and operationalize a platform- and portfolio-first narrative across our storage offerings ensuring customers clearly understand how our innovations come together to deliver business outcomes. This role is critical to advancing Hitachi Vantara’s position as a trusted data foundation for AI and hybrid cloud.You will lead a team that owns our platform and portfolio narrative along with our midrange, high-end enterprise, and software-defined storage product marketing strategy and execution. ResponsibilitiesLead Platform &amp; Portfolio Narrative<ul><li>Evolve and build upon unified storage platform story into a clear, outcome-driven value proposition that leads with solutions aligned to hybrid cloud, data modernization, cyber resilience, and AI readiness</li><li>Define clear positioning against key competitors and ensure differentiation is consistently reflected across all content</li><li>Ensure consistency across messaging, launches, campaigns, and field activation</li></ul>Own Go-to-Market Strategy for Storage Portfolio<ul><li>Develop and execute GTM strategies across the storage portfolio, including messaging and positioning for  VSP One  midrange, high-end systems, and SDS offerings</li><li>Translate product capabilities into customer-relevant use cases, solutions, and business outcomes</li><li>Drive integrated launches that reflect both portfolio cohesion and product differentiation</li></ul>Cross-functional Collaboration and Leadership<ul><li>Partner with Sales and Partner teams to deliver clear, actionable messaging and enablement that resonates with customers</li><li>Build and scale sales plays aligned to priority use cases, ensuring the field can confidently articulate why Hitachi Vantara wins at both platform and product levels</li></ul><ul><li>Act as strategic partner to product management by bringing the voice of the market (customer, competitive, and analyst insights) into roadmap discussions to influence product strategy</li></ul>Team Leadership &amp; Operational Excellence<ul><li>Lead and mentor a high-performing team of product marketers fostering a culture of innovation, agility, accountability, and customer-centricity.</li><li>Build repeatable and consistent frameworks for messaging, launches, and portfolio storytelling.</li><li>Establish KPIs to measure impact.</li></ul>What You Will Bring to the Team<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent work experience.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in product marketing for enterprise B2B technology, software and/or services.</li><li>Expertise in data infrastructure, storage, hybrid cloud, and/or AI/analytics markets</li><li>Great storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical innovation into clear, compelling narratives</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead product marketing for multi-product portfolios and drive growth in a fast-paced, high-change environment.</li><li>Executive presence and experience working with senior leadership</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.</li><li>Creative, proactive leader with growth mindset and exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $185K to $275K. Expected on-target earnings: $240K to $350KThe expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area.
