This role is responsible for ensuring electrical systems are safe, reliable, and compliant, while supporting plant operations through troubleshooting, design improvements, and continuous optimization initiatives.You will contribute to our team by:<ul><li>Providing electrical engineering support to plant operations and maintenance teams</li><li>Designing and managing execution of electrical repairs, upgrades, and system modifications</li><li>Troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical equipment and system issues</li><li>Interpreting and applying electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards</li><li>Supporting predictive and preventative maintenance programs to improve asset reliability</li><li>Analyzing equipment performance and recommending design or process improvements</li><li>Participating in and leading small to moderately complex engineering projects</li><li>Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and external contractors to ensure successful execution of work</li><li>Providing technical guidance and mentorship to Engineers-in-Training (EITs) or junior engineers</li><li>Supporting Management of Change processes and engineering governance requirements</li><li>Promoting and maintaining a strong Health, Safety &amp; Environmental (HSE) culture</li></ul>What you will bring to the role:Education:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility is considered an asset</li><li>Education equivalency may be considered</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>0–2 years of related engineering experience</li><li>Experience in industrial or power generation environments is considered an asset</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:<ul><li>Knowledge of electrical systems, design, maintenance, and applicable codes and standards</li><li>Understanding of reliability and maintenance practices</li><li>Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment</li><li>Working Conditions:</li><li>Combination of office and field-based work</li><li>Work is primarily performed at a generating facility</li><li>Occasional travel may be required</li></ul>Additional Details: The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior relevant experience.This position is eligible for health care benefits, retirement benefits, paid time off, and annual bonus.
