Bring your energy to Aggreko as a High Voltage Electrician 2 based in Pearland, TX.You’ll perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of Aggreko's electrical power distribution equipment, including transformers, switchgear, load banks, cables, and related systems. This role supports both field and service center operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, technical standards, and customer expectations.Power without pause. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.What you’ll do as a High Voltage Electrician 2 ​<ul><li>Travel greater than 75% on a rotational basis to support projects for North America (NAM) and to support the Electrical Services hubs currently in North Houston, Livingston, Baltimore, and Bakersfield.</li><li>Two-year commitment to this role.</li><li>Field service and repair HV electrical distribution equipment, with the primary focus on the field testing and commissioning of Aggreko MV electrical specialty equipment.</li><li>Perform MV and LV Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspection and testing services for electrical equipment in the shop as well as on the job site.</li><li>Manage and provide technical support on major projects that incorporate specialty electrical distribution equipment.</li><li>Conducting safety inspections and complying with Aggreko's safety regulation.</li><li>May resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems.</li></ul>You are: <ul><li>High school diploma or GED or 8+ years of relevant work experience and knowledge as certified within Aggreko’s Tech Certification Program with some exposure to MV electrical installation and commissioning or similar program in the MV testing and/or construction.</li><li>High level of knowledge of the entire electrical system, MV and LV, specifically the key electrical components and the proper gear setup, commissioning and start up procedures. </li><li>Proven knowledge of the principles of electricity and electrical design.</li><li>Completion of third-party certifications within the Aggreko Training Plan (AVO) or equivalent MV training program (company provided training upon hire).</li><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li><li>Embraces and promotes Safety Culture.</li><li>Positive, self- starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality.</li><li>Reliable and committed to delivering quality performance</li><li>Ability to travel domestically, internationally and offshore.</li><li>Valid passport is preferred.  If not in possession of a passport, candidate will be required to apply once in new role.</li><li>Valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) is preferred.  If not in possession of a TWIC, candidate will be required to apply once in new role..</li><li>Available to work overtime</li></ul>Here's what you'll get: <ul><li>Full-time with potential for overtime and/or weekends</li><li>Annual bonus program</li><li>No premium cost medical plan option available</li><li>Career growth opportunities and tuition reimbursement available</li><li>Safety-focused culture working on brand new technology.</li></ul>Other essential job requirements  <ul><li>Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts</li><li>Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices</li><li>Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level</li><li>Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders</li><li>Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat</li></ul>Our people are can-do, positive, resilient, and persistent.
